Outdoor Fun
Ski, snowboard or tube on the beautiful Poconos mountains in the winter or explore the region on foot in the other three seasons. The Poconos are known for its variety of scenic views from lakes and streams, to waterfalls and ravines.
Winter Activities
- Camelback Mountain - Has a variety of ski trails for all experience ranges, and illuminated trails at night. Camelback is ranked among the best snow tubing parks in the country, and has multiple dining options such as heated dining tents, and ski-in/ski-out restaurants.
- Shawnee Mountain - Excellent for families, this mountain has excellent trails for the beginner, and still has more advanced terrain to enjoy. With 23 trails, a snow tubing park and great service, Shawnee is a visitor favorite.
Hunting, Fishing, Hiking and Biking:
- Promised Land State Park - Featuring awesome fishing year round for fish such as bass, trout and pickerel. Also perfect for the outdoor spirit, with over 1500 open acres for hunting bear, deer, and turkey and 50 miles of hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult.
- Delaware Water Gap - A famous park with 70,000 expansive acres full of hiking trails and beautiful scenery. Hunting and fishing are permitted in most of the park in the appropriate seasons. Plenty of outdoor activities to do at this park!
Dinings and Attractions
The Poconos are full of attractions in all seasons - multiple breweries/wineries, bars, and a large casino are perfect for adults. Family-friendly restaurants and parks provide even more options!
Dining
Barley Creek Brewing Company - A restaurant, distillery, and brewery in one; This location has small batch spirits and beer to try, and has outdoor seating available - weekly live music too! Just one of the many breweries and wineries in the area.
Bailey’s Rib and Steakhouse - Outdoor seating is available here - and it’s a nice spot for families. They have variety as well, with seafood, burgers, and pasta too!
Indoor Attractions
Kalahari Park - One of the largest indoor waterparks in the country, also open year-round! There are over 30 rides and slides indoors, the park also has 2 seasonal outdoor slides and ziplining!
- Mount Airy Casino - A nice mix of games and machines, containing over 70 tables and 1800 slot machines for all types of players! The resort also has dining, entertainment and nightlife.
